We are seeking an advocate for the patient in the pursuit of delivering quality care when such care is initiated in, or delivered predominantly within the delivery system. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) serves on the Providence Health & Services Southwest Washington Leadership Team, and participates at the hospital Board and Foundation Board as requested. The CMO will lead the medical staff's participation in furthering the mission and strategic initiatives of the service area, the region and the system. In addition, the CMO will maintain a limited clinical practice. This full time position is located in Olympia, WA in the Providence St. Peter Hospital Administration Department. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer of Providence St. Peter Hospital.

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited medical school. Active or eligible for medical license in the state of Washington. Board certified in family practice. A combination of education, training, and experience that equates to a minimum of five years, full-time, professional activity in the field of family medicine. Two years teaching experience in a family medicine residency program, including administrative responsibilities. Eligibility for membership on our hospital staff with privileges. Private practice experience preferred.
